Biography

Dr. Chateé Omísadé Richardson is an educator, an educational psychologist, and a growth facilitator. She received her bachelor's degree from the University of California, Irvine, her master's from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and her doctorate degree from Georgia State University. She has over 15 years of experience in education teaching K-5th (all subjects), 6-12th grade (English, Drama, and Communications), as well as at the collegiate level.

Dr. Richardson has dedicated her professional work to optimal development, diversity and multiculturalism. She teaches Multicultural Education (guiding students through the process of challenging biases and limiting beliefs regarding race, class, gender, ability/disability, spirituality/religion, and sexual orientation), African Diaspora and the World (resituating African people in history and acknowledging their historical, global, and enduring contributions), and Psychology of the Inner City Child (based directly on the work of Dr. Asa G. Hilliard, III, and dealing with the trauma youth experience in this context).

She desires to merge research with practice engaging in passion projects aimed at optimal child development from conception to adulthood, culture and diversity work for teachers, and transforming the education system from the ground up; beginning with teacher preparation.
