Professional Associations and Appearances
Dr. Pavri was president of Georgia Political Science Association for 2013-2014. She has served on the editorial board of International Studies Perspectives, on the executive board of the Georgia Political Science Association, and is a consultant with the National Institutes of Justice and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. She has also appeared as a guest on radio shows including National Public Radio’s "The Tavis Smiley Show" and Powerpoint.
Grants and Awards
She has also successfully obtained grants from the U.S. Army War College to support her research, co-authored grants from the Southern Educational Foundation to support integration of technology into the classroom and from United Negro College Fund-Special Projects to co-direct the Sophomore Summer Institute of the Institute for International Public Policy at Spelman College. She is also a grant recipient from the Mellon and Lilly Foundations and the Association of Colleges of the South.

Research Interests
Dr. Pavri’s research and publication interests lie in the area of security studies and conflict resolution (particularly ethno-nationalist and protracted conflicts), questions of national identity and the international political economy.Publications
She has published numerous articles in such journals as Negotiation Journal and PeaceReview, book chapters and a co-edited book (by Strategic Studies Institute Press ) on these and other topics. Her geographic area of expertise is South Asia, including the conflict between India and Pakistan. She has also published book chapters on the impact of nuclearization on conflict resolution between the two countries and on the political socialization of women candidates in India’s national elections. Her current research focuses on India’s new, globalized economy.Book
